Colorado Court Docket is a private reference service, not a court counter or Clerk of Court. Official case files and certified copies come from the court that holds the matter. The Judicial Branch Docket Search lists upcoming state-court settings, while paid CoCourts searches provide selected Register of Action history and can be incomplete. Use the routes below to find the right official calendar, record request, court, or county clerk. Denver County Court and locally run municipal courts follow their own systems.

This Is Not a Court or Government Office. Colorado Court Docket has no official case file and cannot set or change a hearing, remove or seal a case, issue a certified copy, or give legal advice. For an official action or record, contact the Clerk of Court or other court named on the case. Colorado has local court records offices; there is no single statewide case-record counter.

Need an Official Docket or Record?

Choose the channel that matches the question. Colorado's calendar, case-history vendor, document-request form, and local court file serve different purposes:

  • Upcoming state-court hearing: use the Colorado Judicial Branch Docket Search calendar, then verify changes with the court that issued the notice
  • Case history: the Branch's Access Guide links to paid CoCourts Register of Action searches; its results are not the official record and may omit information
  • Full docket or certified copy: submit the Branch's Record/Document Request Form or contact the Clerk of Court through Browse Counties
  • A case from another local system: Denver County Court and municipal-court matters must be requested from the court or city named on the notice, not assumed to be in the state calendar
  • How the courts fit together: Court Structure explains which trial or appellate court keeps each record

The Clerk of Court in the county where a state trial case was filed holds its official file. A request is generally answered within three business days, subject to extenuating circumstances; older archives, restricted files, and transcripts can take longer. Find the county office through Browse Counties, or follow the local court named on a municipal or Denver County Court matter.
